Kiren Congress

1. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju strongly criticizes Congress and Rahul Gandhi.
2. Criticism follows Income Tax raids on premises linked to Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu.
3. Rs 353 crore of unaccounted cash discovered in the raids, sparking a major political controversy.

New Delhi, Dec 12: Union Minister of Earth Sciences in India, Kiren Rijiju, took a strong stance against the Congress party, particularly targeting Rahul Gandhi, on December 12. The criticism stemmed from recent Income Tax raids conducted at the premises of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Sahu in Madhya Pradesh, revealing a staggering Rs 353 crore of unaccounted cash.

During a press conference, Rijiju expressed his dismay over Rahul Gandhi’s purported support for Dhiraj Sahu despite the significant discovery of unaccounted cash. The Union Minister accused the Congress party of maintaining silence on the matter, suggesting that the party’s name should be synonymous with corruption.

Rijiju, known for his vocal stance against corruption, emphasized that wherever there is a BJP government, action against corruption will be taken. He went on to assert that Congress and its allies have spread a “disease” called corruption, framing the issue as a pervasive problem within the party.

In a pointed statement, Rijiju alleged that leaders with a history of corruption often argue that during the Congress regime, the country was at peace because the party allowed corruption to flourish. He summarized this alleged Congress policy as ‘looto aru auro ko bhi lootneh doh,’ implying a tolerance for corruption during their rule.

Moreover, Rijiju credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with offering two guarantees to address the corruption issue – making India one of the leading nations and putting an end to corruption. He suggested that it is due to these guarantees that leaders like Rahul Gandhi harbor resentment towards PM Modi.

The remarks by the Union Minister reflect the escalating political controversy surrounding the IT raids on Dhiraj Sahu‘s premises, with accusations and counter-accusations between the ruling BJP and the Congress party. The issue not only underscores the seriousness of corruption allegations but also highlights the deepening political divide between the two major parties in India.
