Varanasi

New Delhi, Oct 10: Due to the new, grand, and divine Kashi Vishwanath Dham and rapidly developing facilities, Varanasi is becoming the first choice of tourists in the country and the world. This is the reason that Goa, which is famous for the waves of the sea, has also been left far behind by Varanasi. It is not us but the figures show this.

According to Laxmikant Vainagar, GM of the Goa Tourism Department, in the year 2021-22, around three and a half crore tourists arrived in Goa. According to UP Tourism, more than 10 and a half crore tourists and devotees arrived in Kashi. Eight and a half crore tourists have paid their respects in Kashi Vishwanath Dham alone.

Seeing the rapidly increasing number of tourists in Varanasi, the tourism department of Goa also tried to woo the tourist operators by conducting a week-long workshop here. Tourist trends have made it clear that instead of the glitz, flare, and glitz, spiritual and cultural tourism is pleasing to the people.

The inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham has given a new height to religious tourism.

Cruise service in Ganga has also emerged as the choice of tourists. Rahul Mehta, President of, the Tourist Welfare Association, says that Goa tourism is based on fusion tourism, while Kashi is a cultural and spiritual city. The increased facilities here and Kashi Vishwanath Dham have further enticed the tourists.

District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma said that along with the increase in the number of tourists, we are also alert about facilities and security. Apart from this, work is being done on other preparations including a new cruise service for tourists, and events on the cross Ganga.
