The incident occurred in the early hours of December 30 when suspected Kuki armed militants reportedly launched an attack on Kadangband Part 2 in Imphal West district at approximately 3:30 am.
The victim, identified as 35-year-old Jamesbond Ningombam from Mayang Lamgjing, lost his life in the assault. Subsequently, the deceased’s body was transported to the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences for post-mortem examination.
