Ayodhya, Dec 30: The stage is set in Ayodhya to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as the city adorns itself with intricate floral patterns in anticipation of the leader’s visit.

Scheduled for Saturday, the inauguration of Shri Ram International Airport and the revamped Ayodhya railway station will be accompanied by a rich array of cultural events.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has orchestrated an unprecedented welcome for PM Modi, with streets embellished by posters of the Prime Minister and welcoming messages.

The journey from Sitapur Road to the airport will be marked by over 1,400 local artists presenting cultural performances on approximately 40 stages.

The airport meeting venue will host 30 local artists, and a stage awaits at gate No. 3 of the soon-to-open airport, with five more stages placed between the airport and Saket Petrol Pump.

Artists along Dharma Path will showcase their talents on 26 stages, while the essence of Uttar Pradesh’s culture will unfold on five stages along Ram Path and three stages from Arundhati Parking to Tedhi Bazaar and the Railway Station.

Mathura’s popular ‘Mayur’ dance will grace several stages, alongside performances of ‘Avadhi’ folk dance.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), around 11:15 am, PM Modi will inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya railway station, flagging off new Amrit Bharat trains and Vande Bharat trains, and dedicating several other railway projects to the nation. At approximately 12:15 pm, he will inaugurate the Ayodhya airport.

PM Modi is set to participate in a public program, inaugurating, dedicating to the nation, and laying the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 15,700 crore in the state.

The statement from the PMO highlights that the state-of-the-art airport’s phase 1 has been developed at a cost exceeding Rs 1,450 crore, with a terminal building covering 6,500 sqm designed to serve approximately 10 lakh passengers annually.

The building’s facade depicts the temple architecture of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir of Ayodhya, and its interior is adorned with local art, paintings, and murals depicting the life of Lord Ram.
