The peace pact is a crucial step towards ensuring lasting progress and stability in Assam and PM Modi praised the collective efforts that led to this landmark achievement. He expressed hope for a future characterized by unity, growth, and prosperity for all in Assam.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking after the signing of the peace accord, assured that all the points in the Peace Accord with the ULFA pro-talk faction would be implemented in a time-bound manner.

He emphasized the formation of a committee under the Union Home Ministry to ensure the time-bound implementation of various points of the peace accord, working in collaboration with the Assam government.

“I assure all the ULFA representatives present here that all the points of the peace accord would be implemented in a time-bound manner. We have also decided to form a committee under the Home Ministry which will work with the Assam government to ensure the time-bound implementation of the various points of the peace accord,” said Amit Shah.
