Agartala, April 26: Voting commenced in the Tripura East Parliamentary Constituency amidst heightened security measures, ensuring the smooth conduct of the electoral process.
Covering all assembly constituencies of Dhalai, North, Unakoti, and Khowai, as well as four ACs of South Tripura and three ACs of Gomati district, this Lok Sabha seat witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of voters.
An official from the Chief Electoral Office of Tripura confirmed that polling began promptly at 7 AM across all 1664 polling stations.
Any malfunctioning Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were promptly replaced to ensure a seamless voting experience.
The scene at polling stations was characterized by long queues of voters, demonstrating the electorate’s eagerness to exercise their democratic right.

A total of 13,96,761 electorates are eligible to cast their votes in the Tripura East Lok Sabha constituency.
Among them, 7,02,511 are male voters, 6,94,237 are female voters, and 13 are transgender voters. Additionally, approximately 16,000 Bru voters are also expected to participate in the electoral process.
