Weather update, April 24: A cyclonic circulation located over Northeast India and strong southwesterly winds from the Bay of Bengal laden with moisture will bring fairly widespread to widespread rain and thunderstorms over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya from Sunday to Wednesday.

Similarly, scattered rain and thunderstorm are likely over Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from Sunday to Wednesday, and heavy rain is expected over isolated places of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya on Sunday.

Sunday (April 24)

  • Heavy rain is likely over isolated places of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
  • Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorm are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
  • Scattered rain and thunderstorm are likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Monday (April 25)

  • Widespread rain and thunderstorm are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
  • Scattered rain and thunderstorm are likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
