Tawang, Jan 19: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has suggested the tourist about the best time to visit the ‘The Land of Rising Sun’.

While sharing a glimpse of the snow-covered Tawang district of the state on Twitter, CM wrote “Nestled in the foothills of Himalayas, winter is the best time to visit The Land of Rising Sun. The sprawling snowcapped mountains loom to greet you at #Tawang. The misty grasslands & foggy valleys are a delight to watch.”

The winter season in Tawang is known to be harshly cold. The month of November marks the onset of the season in Tawang and the place remains quite cold till the mid of March. Usually, it snows here during December and January months, cutting it off from the nearby station for days.
