India’s path to the final was marked by a resounding 70-run victory over New Zealand in the first semifinal in Mumbai. This marks India’s fourth appearance in a World Cup final, with previous victories in 1983 and 2011, along with a single loss in 2003 to Australia in South Africa.

Seeking their third title, the Indian team is eager to rectify the painful defeat to Australia in Johannesburg, where Ricky Ponting’s unbeaten 140 powered Australia to a formidable 359/2.
