Imphal, Oct 26: In Manipur’s Churachandpur district, a recovery of arms and ammunition was made, leading to the arrest of two individuals.
Following specific intelligence inputs, security forces conducted thorough search operations at a mobile checkpost situated on the outskirts of the vulnerable Churachandpur district. During these operations, a pistol and 25 rounds of ammunition were seized from the possession of two suspects who were subsequently arrested.

Furthermore, in a proactive measure to ensure security, a total of 131 checkpoints have been established in various districts across Manipur, including both hilly and valley regions. The police have detained 2,232 individuals in connection with violations reported in different districts within the state.
