Guwahati, Dec 09: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to taking stern action against individuals engaged in corrupt practices. In commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day, CM Sarma emphasized the detrimental impact of corruption on developmental projects and the common people.

On platform X, CM Sarma expressed his sentiments, highlighting the persistent issue of corruption in the nation until Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014.

He stated, “For long has the nation been plagued by the vice of corruption with developmental works going for a toss and common people bearing the brunt of it until Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took over in 2014. On #InternationalAntiCorruptionDay, we reiterate our commitment towards anti-corruption and acting tough against anyone indulging in such acts.”
