Similarly, Mizoram, another gem in India’s northeastern landscape, celebrates its Statehood Day on the same date. In 1987, Mizoram was officially recognized as a full-fledged state of the Indian Union.

The northeastern region, often referred to as the ‘Seven Sisters,’ is renowned for its cultural diversity, breathtaking landscapes, and strategic significance.

Despite its inherent beauty and potential, the region grapples with various challenges, including connectivity issues, insurgency, and socio-economic disparities.
