Entertainment, May 11: Before its official release nationwide on June 28, “Kooki,” a Hindi feature film originating from Assam, is set to debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2024. Scheduled for May 21 at 11:30 am local time, the screening will take place at Palais H.
Producer Dr. Junmoni Devi Khound expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to showcase their debut feature film at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival.
She emphasized the festival’s significance in celebrating cinematic art and amplifying voices addressing critical global issues.
Khound highlighted the urgency of Kooki’s subject matter, underscoring the importance of international attention and dialogue on the issues it raises.

Renowned Bollywood singers Suniddhi Chauhan, Divya Kumar, Mohammad Faiz, and Krittika Sharma from Assam have lent their voices to three beautiful songs in the movie.
