These parking lots are expected to be situated in Ganga, ESS Sector, and the civil secretariat in Itanagar.
The projects, funded by the urban department of Arunachal Pradesh, include a Multi-Storey Car parking lot with a capacity of 100 vehicles and another lot with a capacity of over 100 vehicles in the ESS Sector near the Civil Secretariat, amounting to a total cost of 14.71 crores.
The trial phase began today with the testing of three lifts capable of lifting vehicles up to the fourth floor of the building.
As the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) continues to expand, parking shortages are becoming increasingly problematic. Insufficient parking spaces within the ICR have led to vehicles being parked on roads, exacerbating traffic congestion and safety concerns for vehicle owners.
Efforts by the ICR administration and the Itanagar Municipal Corporation are crucial in developing additional public parking spaces to address current and future needs.
