Itanagar, March 22: In an unexpected turn of events, the Arunachal Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has opted to nominate Mahesh Chai as their candidate for the upcoming election in the Tezu assembly constituency, reversing their initial decision to field Badang Tayang.

This abrupt change in strategy has caught many by surprise, as Badang Tayang was previously announced as the BJP’s candidate for the 44 Tezu assembly constituency in the Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh.
