Agartala, Feb 03: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura has unveiled a 73-member state executive committee in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This executive committee includes key figures from the party, such as Chief Minister Manik Saha, Rajya Sabha MP Bilab Kumar Deb, Union Minister of State for Social Empowerment and Social Justice Pratima Bhoumik, and former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma.

The announcement of this committee took place on Thursday night and aims to bring together the senior leadership of the party in the state.

In addition to the core members, the committee also features 14 invitee members, expanding the representation to include diverse perspectives.

The decision to form this executive committee is part of the BJP’s strategic preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, aligning its leadership to effectively navigate the political landscape.

This move comes after the unveiling of 18 office-bearers for the party’s state unit on December 30, marking a comprehensive effort to strengthen the organizational structure at various levels.

As the elections approach, the state BJP is focused on optimizing its resources and reconstituting committees for its frontal organizations, such as Mohila Morcha and Yuva Morcha.

The state executive committee plays a crucial role in formulating strategies, coordinating election campaigns, and addressing key issues affecting the state.

By including prominent leaders and ensuring diverse representation, the BJP aims to bolster its standing and outreach in Tripura, setting the stage for a competitive and well-coordinated electoral effort in the upcoming polls.
