Mumbai, Feb 17: The entertainment industry mourns the loss of Suhani Bhatnagar, known for her role as young Babita Phogat in the acclaimed film “Dangal.”

Suhani Bhatnagar, who portrayed the younger version of Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s 2016 blockbuster “Dangal,” passed away at the age of 19.

She succumbed to illness on Saturday morning, February 17th, reportedly after a period of ill health, while undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in New Delhi.

Her final rites will take place at the Ajronda crematorium in Sector 15, Faridabad.

According to reports, Suhani’s hospitalization was due to a reaction caused by medication, as she had been undergoing treatment for fluid accumulation in her body. Despite her young age, Suhani had already left an indelible mark on the industry with her memorable performance in “Dangal.”

“Dangal,” directed by Nitesh Tiwari, depicted the inspiring journey of the Phogat sisters and their father Mahavir Phogat, played by Aamir Khan.

The film, which also starred Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Zaira Wasim, and Aparshakti Khurrana, received widespread acclaim and emerged as a major box-office success.

Before her breakthrough role in “Dangal,” Suhani had appeared in various advertisement films, showcasing her talent at a young age.

Her presence on social media, particularly Instagram, allowed her to connect with fans and share glimpses of her life, although her last post dates back to November 2021.

The sudden loss of Suhani Bhatnagar has left the industry and her fans in shock and mourning.

Her untimely departure serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life, and her contributions to cinema will be remembered fondly.
