New Delhi, March 13: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts drizzle in parts of Delhi today, with partly cloudy skies prevailing across the national capital.
The seven-day weather forecast bulletin from the Regional Meteorological Centre indicates the possibility of drizzle at isolated places in Delhi on Wednesday.
A senior scientist from the IMD mentioned a slight drop in temperatures on March 13-14 due to a western disturbance, followed by a rising trend in maximum temperatures. Clear skies are expected thereafter, leading to a natural increase in summer temperatures.
On Wednesday, Delhi is expected to experience a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 14 degrees Celsius. Cloudy weather is anticipated on March 16.
Monday recorded the hottest day of the season in Delhi, with the mercury touching 31.4 degrees Celsius. The preceding day saw a maximum temperature of 28.4 degrees Celsius.
Tuesday’s minimum temperature settled slightly below the seasonal average at 14.2 degrees Celsius, while the Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 183, categorized as ‘poor’ by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The IMD has forecasted a ‘western disturbance’, indicating widespread light to moderate rain in various parts of North India and the northeastern region on Wednesday. This includes Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad region, with decreasing intensity thereafter.
Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Northwest Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan may experience isolated to scattered light rainfall on Wednesday, as per IMD’s bulletin.
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Gangetic West Bengal can expect rainfall from Wednesday to Sunday, with Odisha experiencing rainfall from Thursday to March 18.
Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh may witness rainfall from Saturday to March 18, while West Madhya Pradesh is forecasted to receive rainfall on March 18.
Furthermore, Arunachal Pradesh may experience isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall or snowfall over the next seven days. Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura could see isolated light rainfall until Friday.
