Weather Forecast, April 08: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in Northeast India amid a nationwide heat wave.

In the coming days, rain and thunderstorms are expected in Arunachal Pradesh, with a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura also likely to experience showers.

The IMD has issued warnings for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in isolated areas across these states, with wind speeds reaching 30-40 kmph.

Isolated areas of Arunachal Pradesh are particularly susceptible to thunderstorms and lightning, while heavy rain is forecasted in some parts of the state.

In Guwahati and its vicinity, the weather will feature a partly cloudy sky with occasional spells of rain or thundershowers over the next three to four days.
