Imphal, Jan 03: The Governor of Manipur has issued a directive to ensure distinct sirens for ambulance vehicles and other agencies, emphasizing the need to avoid any similarity with the sirens used by police and law enforcement agencies.

The order aims to prevent confusion and panic among the public, considering the sensitive nature of similar sirens being utilized by different authorities.

The directive specifically mentions the prevailing law and order situation in the state, highlighting the importance of effective maintenance of law and order.

It addresses concerns arising from the use of sirens with similar sounds by both ambulances and police/law enforcing agencies, which could lead to misunderstandings and create a panicky situation among the general public.
