Kashmir tricolour

Srinagar, Aug 07: The nation is all set to celebrate 75 years of Independence under the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ the celebrations are already set in motion, and Jammu & Kashmir witnessed preparations for the same as school students of the Valley took out a tricolour rally on the third occasion of Article 370 abrogation.

Three years ago on August 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led’s government abrogated Article 370, removing the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

School students marched the streets carrying a tricolour and chanting slogans of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga.’ A video of the same was shared by the district administration on social media.

On the other hand, school girls in the Bandipora district sang the national anthem, a video os which was again, shared by the district administration on social media.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people to hoist the tricolour at their homes from August 13 to August 15 under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Over 100 crore people are expected to take part in the campaign.

Notably, the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 12 to celebrate and commemorate 75 glorious years of Independence of India. With over 50,000 events successfully held across 28 States, 8 UTs, and over 150 countries, the initiative of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is one of the largest programs ever organised in terms of scope and participation.
