Guwahati, Feb 07: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has aimed at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, suggesting that he lacks mental stability.
In a statement to reporters in Assam, CM Sarma remarked, “It is widely known that Rahul Gandhi lacks mental stability and cannot approach issues with a positive mindset… If one observes Rahul Gandhi regularly, numerous viral videos can be made, indicating his lack of mental balance.”
Sarma’s comments come in the wake of a viral video featuring Rahul Gandhi, in which he offers a biscuit to a puppy that declines it, prompting Gandhi to pass the biscuit to a supporter.
The video, circulated by the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, caused controversy on social media. The BJP seized upon the opportunity, accusing Gandhi of disrespecting his supporters.
Having once been associated with the Congress party himself, Sarma launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, asserting his independence. “I am a proud Assamese and Indian. I refused to yield to pressure and resigned from the Congress,” Sarma affirmed.
