Guwahati, Feb 29: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the inauguration of the Atal Uran Setu, a newly constructed Railway Over Bridge on Barpeta Road, via microblogging site X on February 29.

With a staggering cost of Rs 42 crore, this bridge is poised to alleviate congestion in Assam’s historic town, enhancing connectivity and easing the commute for locals.

In addition to the bridge inauguration, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also dedicated a state-of-the-art Multi Utility Building in Sorbhog earlier that day.

Valued at Rs 10 crore, this facility marks a significant step forward in the government’s efforts to stimulate economic growth and foster entrepreneurship in the region.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by esteemed Cabinet Ministers Shri Ranjeet Kumar Dass and Ranoj Pegu, underscored the government’s commitment to creating conducive environments for business expansion and job creation.

The Multi Utility Building is expected to emerge as a dynamic center for various enterprises, offering abundant opportunities for local businesses to flourish and contribute to the socio-economic landscape of Sorbhog and its vicinity.
