Assam Police Department

Guwahati, Sept 16: Eight high-ranking police officials were transferred and posted to various positions within the Assam Police Department. This major reshuffle, carried out by the Assam Government’s Home (A) and Political Department, aims to ensure effective law enforcement and public service.

Here is the comprehensive list of the eight police officers who have undergone transfers:

  1. Dr. N. Rajamarthandan, IPS (RR-2006), Superintendent of Railway Police, Pandu, Guwahati, has been transferred and appointed as the Superintendent of Police, FRRO, Barpeta. This change will take effect from the date of assuming charge. Ms. Pankaj Yadav, IPS, will be substantively posted as Superintendent of Police, Tamulpur.
  2. Smti. Supriya Das, IPS (RR-2017), Superintendent of Police, Udalguri, will assume her new role as Superintendent of Police, Nalbari. This transfer will also come into effect from the date of assuming charge, replacing Shri Sudhakar Singh, APS.
  3. Shri Pushkin Jain, IPS (RR-2017), Superintendent of Police, Golaghat, will now serve as the Superintendent of Police, Udalguri. Similar to the previous transfer, this change will take effect from the date of taking over charge, replacing Smti. Supriya Das, IPS.
  4. Shri Sudhakar Singh, APS (DR-1995), Superintendent of Police, Nalbari, will be the new Superintendent of Police (Zonal-I), CID, Assam, located in Ulubari, Guwahati. This change will take effect from the date of taking over charge, replacing Shri Dhruba Bora, APS.
  5. Shri Rajen Singh, APS (DR-1995), Superintendent of Police, Baksa, will assume the role of Superintendent of Police, Golaghat. This transfer will take effect from the date of taking over charge, replacing Shri Pushkin Jain, IPS.
  6. Shri Dhruba Bora, APS (DR-2004), who previously held the position of Superintendent of Police (Zonal-I), CID, Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati, is now appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Security) in the Police Commissionerate, Guwahati. This change will come into effect against the existing vacancy.
  7. Shri Debasish Borah, APS (DR-2004), Commandant, 4th APBn., Kahilipara, Guwahati, is given the additional charge of Superintendent of Railway Police, Pandu, Guwahati, alongside his existing duties until further orders.
  8. Shri Ujjal Pratim Baruah, APS (DR-2004), Commandant, 14th APBn., Daulasal, Nalbari, will now serve as the Superintendent of Police, Baksa. This change will take effect from the date of taking over charge, replacing Shri Rajen Singh, APS.
  9. Shri Anjan Pandit, APS (DR-2010), who holds the position of Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ), Golaghat, is granted the authority to serve as Commandant, 14th APBN., Daulasal, Nalbari. This transfer will also be effective from the date of taking over charge, replacing Shri Ujjal Pratim Baruah, APS.
