Imphal, April 25: The state of Manipur in Northeast India will soon have its first luxury five-star hotel by 2025. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh laid the foundation stone for the upcoming hotel in Imphal, which will be built under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The project will be managed by the Classic Group of Hotels.

The new hotel is expected to have 80 rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, a pub and clubhouse, a VIP club lounge, a swimming pool, a spa and salon, a fitness center, an art gallery, a 500+ capacity banquet hall, an open lawn banquet hall, an auditorium, water fountains, a multi-story car parking, a double height lobby, high-speed lifts, and other sophisticated facilities.

The Manipur CM stated that the five-star hotel would be “delivered to the people of Manipur before the 2025 Sangai festival,” and it will significantly boost the ecotourism sector in the state. Manipur is already attracting a considerable number of foreign tourists, and the addition of world-class accommodation facilities is expected to further enhance its appeal.

The foundation laying ceremony for the hotel was attended by several Manipur cabinet ministers, including Sushildro Leishangthem, Nemcha Kipgen, and Yumnam Khemchand. The upcoming luxury hotel is expected to create job opportunities and boost the state’s economy.
