Aizawl, Feb 12: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, who also holds the finance portfolio, is gearing up to present the maiden budget of the new Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) government on February 27.

The budget session of the assembly, slated to commence on February 19 and extend until March 13, will provide ample time for thorough discussions on crucial financial matters, as unanimously decided during a recent meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC).

On February 27, Lalduhoma, donning his dual roles as Chief Minister and Finance Minister, will table the state budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 and present supplementary demands for the fiscal year 2023-24.

Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will inaugurate the proceedings with the customary gubernatorial address to the House on the first day of the budget session.
