New Delhi, May 06: The third phase of the Lok Sabha elections in India is set for May 7, 2024, covering 93 constituencies across 12 states. Nomination for 94 constituencies began on April 12 and ended on April 19.

The Betul constituency in Madhya Pradesh was moved to Phase 3 due to the demise of a BSP candidate.

In Gujarat, all 25 constituencies will vote in a single phase, with two in Goa. Surat won’t vote as Mukesh Dalal was elected unopposed. Voting for the Anantnag-Rajouri seat in Jammu and Kashmir is deferred to May 25.

Karnataka’s remaining 14 constituencies, mainly in north Karnataka, will also vote on May 7, concluding the state’s voting.

Date of issue of gazette notification: April 12

Last date for candidates to submit their nominations: April 19 (Friday)

Last date for the withdrawal of candidature: April 22 (Monday)

Voting Details by State

  1. Assam: Four out of 14 Lok Sabha constituencies will vote, including Barpeta, Dhubri, Guwahati, and Kokrajhar.
  2. Bihar: Five out of 40 seats will go to polls, covering Araria, Jhanjharpur, Khagaria, Supaul, and Madhepura.
  3. Chhattisgarh: Seven out of 11 constituencies, including Bilaspur, Durg, and Raipur, are scheduled for polling.
  4. Goa: Both constituencies, North Goa and South Goa, will vote in this phase.
  5. Gujarat: All 25 constituencies will vote, except Surat, where Mukesh Dalal was elected unopposed.
  6. Karnataka: 14 out of 28 seats, including Chikkodi, Gulbarga, and Shimoga, are slated for polling.
  7. Madhya Pradesh: Nine out of 29 seats will vote, covering constituencies like Bhopal, Gwalior, and Sagar.
  8. Maharashtra: 11 out of 48 seats, including Raigad, Satara, and Kolhapur, will go to polls.
  9. Uttar Pradesh: 10 out of 80 seats, including Agra, Bareilly, and Etah, are scheduled for voting.
  10. West Bengal: Four out of 42 seats, including Jangipur and Murshidabad, will vote.
  11. Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu: Both constituencies will vote, with Dadra & Nagar Haveli being a Scheduled Tribe (ST) seat.
