Varanasi, Feb 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the significance of Kashi’s resurgence, stating that its renewed capability and form are a source of pride for India as a whole.

Addressing the audience at the prize distribution ceremony of Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita held at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi, PM Modi expressed his satisfaction at the prospect of students propelling the nation towards greater heights during the “Amrit Kaal.”

Highlighting the role of Kashi’s divine blessings in its prosperity, PM Modi described himself and others as mere instruments, with Lord Mahadev being the true architect of the city’s development.

He remarked on the auspiciousness of the moment, attributing Kashi’s progress to the blessings of Lord Mahadev.

During the event, PM Modi awarded prizes to the winners of Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita, congratulating them and extending his best wishes to their parents for their children’s achievements.

Following the ceremony, PM Modi embarked on further engagements, including performing pooja and darshan at Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali.

He is also set to participate in a public function commemorating the 647th birth anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas.

Scheduled visits include Banas Kashi Sankul, a milk processing unit of Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd at UPSIDA Agro Park.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects totaling over ₹13,000 crores in his parliamentary constituency.

These projects encompass the expansion of highways, the construction of railway overbridges, and the inauguration of an LPG Bottling Plant by HPCL in Sewapuri.

Additionally, initiatives for the beautification of Varanasi, such as the rejuvenation of ponds and redevelopment of parks, are on the agenda, along with the creation of a 3-D Urban Digital map and database for the city’s enhancement.
