Puri Vande Bharat

Kolkata, May 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Vande Bharat Express, an ultra-modern semi-high-speed train, between Puri and Howrah on Thursday via video conferencing. The train, equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities, is expected to provide a significant boost to connectivity and development in the region.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has stated that the train will traverse through various districts in Odisha and West Bengal, including Khordha, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Paschim Medinipur, and Purba Medinipur.

The introduction of the Vande Bharat Express marks a major milestone in India’s efforts to enhance its railway infrastructure and improve the travel experience for passengers. With its semi-high-speed capabilities, the train promises a faster, more comfortable, and more convenient mode of transportation. This development will not only benefit the local residents but also boost tourism and promote economic growth in the region.

Prior to its inauguration, the Vande Bharat Express underwent a successful trial run last month between Howrah and Puri. The trial run served as a crucial test for the train’s performance, ensuring its readiness for regular operations. The positive outcome of the trial run has further instilled confidence in the efficiency and reliability of the indigenously designed semi-high-speed train.
