Pune, Jan 19: A 25-year-old Pune man has been booked for allegedly filming his sister-in-law secretly while she was bathing and later raping her by threatening to make the video public.
As per the reports, a case was registered with Hinjewadi police by the woman on Saturday against the accused, who hails from the Parbhani district.
The complainant stated that while she was bathing, the accused filmed a video secretly without her knowledge. After filming a video secretly, he allegedly used the video clip to blackmail her into having an intimate relationship with her.

She further alleged that her brother-in-law even beat her up when she refused to fulfill his sexual needs and then raped her.
According to the report, the incident took place last month. However, the victim did not reveal anything until the man began harassing her once again. Following the same, the woman narrated the ordeal to her husband, after which the couple informed the police and a case was filed.
The accused, however, had fled to his native place in Parbhani district before the police could nab him.
“We have booked him under Sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code,” an officer was quoted as saying by the report.
