Guwahati, April 10: Sangeet Natak Akademi, as part of its Kala Pravah series, presents ‘Shakti – Festival of Music and Dance’, aimed at reviving Temple Traditions across India during the auspicious Navaratri season.

The event, inaugurated on April 9, 2024, at the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, embarks on a journey across seven Shaktipeeths.

Aligned with the symbolism of Navaratri’s nine goddesses, the festival will unfold at various significant temples from April 9 to 17, 2024.

After its commencement at Kamakhya Temple, the festival will grace Mahalakshmi Temple in Kolhapur, Jwalamukhi Temple in Kangada, Tripura Sundari in Udaipur, Ambaji Temple in Banaskantha, Jai Durga Shaktipeeth in Deoghar, and culminate at Shaktipeeth Maa Harsidhi Temple in Jaisinghpur, Ujjain.

As an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Sangeet Natak Akademi remains devoted to preserving, researching, promoting, and revitalizing various performing art forms across the nation, including music, dance, drama, folk and tribal arts, among others.
