The confrontation, which occurred during an election campaign, escalated into a physical altercation involving chair-throwing.
Initially, a verbal dispute arose among workers of AGP, BJP, and AIUDF. However, tensions heightened during a heated ceremony, leading to a violent confrontation.

Approximately 12 supporters from both parties sustained injuries and were hospitalized at Hatsingimari District Hospital.
