Gangtok, Sept 11: Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang has pledged to take “all possible measures” to ensure the safety of two Sikkimese students who have gone missing from their school hostel in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. Tamang has instructed a senior official to treat the matter with the utmost seriousness and provide support in locating the missing students.

In a statement, Chief Minister Tamang expressed his deep concern and empathy for the families of the missing students and reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring their well-being. He also revealed that the resident commissioner of Sikkim in Delhi has been tasked with addressing the situation promptly. The Jamnagar Police Station has initiated an investigation into the case, providing initial findings.

The unsettling disappearance of the two Sikkimese students, Palzor K Tamang and Daut Lal Bahadur Subba, who resided in the school hostel, occurred on August 28. Additionally, a student from Nepal, Prajjaval Puspraj Chapagain, who was studying at the same school, has also been missing since the same date.
