Gangtok, Feb 05: President and Chief Minister of Sikkim, Prem Singh Tamang, announced a slew of transformative schemes during the 12th Foundation Day celebration of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Party.

These initiatives aim to redefine the future of Sikkimese citizens, addressing various aspects of their lives.

Addressing the gathered crowd, Tamang made significant announcements, including the regularization of government employees with over 4 years of service, extending this promise to non-gazetted employees as well.

Key Initiatives:

  1. Creatorpreneurship Scheme:
    • Financial aid of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh for 75,000 youths creating social media content.
    • The amount determined by individual’s social media following.
  2. Aama Yojna:
    • Benefit for 64,000 individuals.
    • Mothers receive Rs 4,400 annually for LPG refilling.
    • Sikkim-certified drivers entitled to insurance up to Rs 10 lakh.
  3. Chief Minister Merit Scholarship (CMMS):
    • Extension up to graduation, offering educational support beyond Class XII.
  4. Sikkim Garib Awas Yojna:
    • Construction of 300 houses to address the housing needs of the less fortunate.
  5. Aama Sashaktikaran Yojana:
    • Financial assistance of Rs 40,000 annually to over 64,000 mothers.
  6. Vatsalaya Scheme:
    • Financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments for childless couples.
  7. One Family, One Entrepreneur Yojana:
    • Encouraging entrepreneurship, and fostering a culture of self-employment.

These announcements signify a comprehensive approach to address various aspects of the citizens’ lives, encompassing education, housing, entrepreneurship, and healthcare.
