Guwahati, June 20: Guwahati City in Assam has been hit by yet another pipe line burst incident, marking the fourth such occurrence in the last year. The latest incident occurred near Noonmati’s Sector 2, following the recent pipeline bursts in Rajgarh, Kharguli, and Maligaon. Although there have been no casualties reported so far, there is a possibility of property damage.

The previous pipeline burst in Kharguli had a significant impact, affecting over 600 people and resulting in approximately 30 injuries. Tragically, it also claimed the life of Sumitra Rabha, and she was later provided financial support from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as a gesture of sympathy.

The recent incident on Rajgarh Road near Commerce College Link Road has caused extensive damage to properties, including local shops. The Assam State Disaster Management Authority promptly responded to the situation, working to control the water flow and assess the overall impact. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or casualties thus far.
