Imphal, March 29: In Manipur’s Jiribam district, an alleged Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast has rocked Durgapur village in Borobekra Sub Division.

The explosion occurred early this morning outside a shop owned by H. Manikumar Singh, causing significant damage but no casualties.

The incident, suspected to be the work of unknown miscreants, follows a previous attack on the same shop where shots were fired at its shuttered windows.

Authorities from Borobekra Police Station have launched an investigation and registered a case.

Situated around 30 kilometers from Jiribam District headquarters, the blast has raised security concerns among residents.
