Chennai, Nov 06: Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi has strongly condemned the “insulting” remarks made by DMK leader RS Bharathi against the Naga community. Bharathi’s comments were made during a recent party event in which he took a dig at Governor Ravi, accusing him of causing trouble and delaying bills.

During the event, the DMK leader stated, “The governor was chased away by the Nagas from their land. Those who eat dog meat could chase the governor out of the state. So, we must not forget how much more self-respect Tamils who eat their food with salt have.”

In response to these comments, the governor’s office posted a statement on social media, denouncing the remarks as “scurrilous and unacceptable.”
