Three NSCN-KYA militants killed in Arunachal Pradesh along Indo-Myanmar border

Guwahati, Nov 16: Three NSCN-KYA militants were killed during an encounter with Assam Rifles in Arunachal Pradesh’s Longding district along the Indo-Myanmar border on Monday.

The incident took place at Lahu village in Longding district and that area is close to the Indo-Myanmar border.

The security forces had recovered three AK series rifles, ammunition and warlike stores in possession from the slain militants.

A top army official based in Kohima said that the NSCN-KYA militants had abducted two civilians of the area.

During a search operation, the troops of Assam Rifles intercepted a militant group along the international border and an encounter was taking place at the area. Three militants killed on spot,” the top army official said.

He further said that three AK series rifles, ammunition and warlike stores were recovered from the slain militants who are yet to be identified.

Meanwhile, a search operation is going on in the bordering to trace the abducted two civilians.
