She claimed such incidents are recurring under both CPIM and Trinamool rule and condemned the administration for attempting to cover it up by labeling it as a suicide.
Bhoumik criticized Mamata Banerjee, who serves as the Chief Minister, Home Minister, and Health Minister, for merely staging protests instead of taking decisive action. She accused the government of being controlled by TMC goons, with no real democracy in place.
Highlighting the outrage across the nation, Bhoumik pointed out that instead of suspending the hospital superintendent, the government transferred him, while doctors who protested were being sent to remote areas and threatened.
She stated that West Bengal has become a place where women are not safe, and called for Banerjee’s immediate resignation to restore security and order in the state.
