Videos depicted water gushing out forcefully, and flooding roads, though no damages were immediately reported. Officials had yet to arrive to assess the situation.

This incident is not isolated; Guwahati has faced similar water pipe bursts before, leading to property damage and flooding.

In a previous instance on June 11, a pipeline belonging to the Guwahati Jal Board burst near Gauhati Commerce College, causing panic and property damage. Though no injuries occurred, extensive damage was reported.

Assam State Disaster Management Authority teams worked to control water flow and address the situation.
