Rajasthan, Nov 16: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot left his own education minister and state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra red-faced at a state-level programme to honour teachers.
At the program, which was held on Tuesday at the Birla Auditorium in Jaipur, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot asked teachers whether they were asked for bribes for transfer postings.
Several teachers, in the presence of state education minister Govind Singh Dotasara who is also the state Congress chief, raised their hands to reply in the affirmative.
An embarrassed Dotasra, while addressing teachers, thereafter stated, “Because sir raised the issue, if anyone from my staff even asked for … a cup of tea, then tell. Education policy brought under me and sir brought (corruption in postings) to a complete end.”
Interestingly, state Education Minister Govind Dotasra was present on the stage when CM Gehlot asked teachers about difficulties they face during transfer.
Although Dotasra tried to explain to the Chief Minister, Gehlot said that he will discuss the issue with him later.
