Guwahati, May 02: Law enforcement in Basugaon, Chirang, conducted a preemptive raid ahead of the third phase of elections, resulting in the arrest of three Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) members.

The arrested individuals, identified as Robin Barman (Lankeshwar Koch or Lambu), Utpal Roy (Pankaj Koch), and Dhananjay Barman, provided crucial information leading to the discovery of a bomb along the Champabati River in Kachudola.

The timely intervention prevented a potential disaster, highlighting the importance of proactive measures in averting sabotage activities during elections.
