Kolkata, Jan 17: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee announced her plan to organize a ‘Sarba Dharma’ (interfaith) rally on January 22, coinciding with the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

During a press conference, Banerjee outlined her intention to offer puja at the Kalighat temple before leading the rally from Kalighat Hazra to Park Circus, covering various religious places such as temples, churches, gurdwaras, and mosques.

She urged people from all religions to join the ‘Sarba Dharma’ rally, emphasizing the theme of equality among all religions.

Banerjee also stated that district heads of the party would be instructed to prepare for the event, and she would hold a meeting at Park Circus Maidan after reaching there.

Additionally, block-wise rallies with the theme ‘All religions are equal’ are scheduled to take place across West Bengal on the same day, featuring participants from diverse religious and community backgrounds.
