Churachandpur, Sept 06: An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale hit Manipur’s Churachandpur on Wednesday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

This sudden seismic event occurred at 6:30 p.m. local time on September 6.

According to the NCS, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in Churachandpur, Manipur, at a depth of 31 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.

“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 06-09-2023, 18:33:07 IST, Lat: 24.35 & Long: 93.67, Depth: 31 Km, Location: Churachandpur, Manipur,” NCS tweeted.

The coordinates of the quake were recorded as latitude 24.35 and longitude 93.67. This data helps to pinpoint the precise location and depth of the seismic activity.

Yesterday, An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale hit Manipur’s Chandel on Tuesday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

“Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.1, Occurred on 06-09-2023, 01:07:58 IST, Lat: 24.31 & Long: 94.04, Depth: 90 Km, Location: Chandel, Manipur,” NCS tweeted.
