Lucknow, Feb 23: The UP Board’s high school and intermediate exams commenced under rigorous anti-cheating measures, aiming to crack down on malpractices and ensure the integrity of the examination process.

Despite the preparations, the first day of exams witnessed a notable absence of over 3 lakh students, highlighting the impact of the stringent measures on student participation.

To combat cheating, the UP Board introduced innovative measures such as ID cards embedded with barcodes for room inspectors, enabling real-time authentication and verification.

The deployment of CCTV cameras equipped with voice recorders in examination centres served as a deterrent to illicit activities, bolstering surveillance efforts.

The heightened presence of the UP Police in sensitive examination centres underscored the collaborative effort to maintain exam integrity and deter potential misconduct.
