Assam, Dec 7: Jitendra Singh, AICC general secretary and in charge Assam, who was in Barak Valley, addressing workers’ meets at Hailakandi, Karimganj, and Silchar during his two-day round trip that concluded on Sunday said that Bajrang Dal should call as ‘Deshdrohi Dal’

“Does the Bajrang Dal have an upper hand over the Indian Constitution? They are not. We live in an independent country. Every Indian has the right to choose what they want to consume, what attire to wear or which place of worship to visit and nobody can take that right away from them,” said AICC general secretary said.

Last week, Mithu Nath, general secretary of Bajrang Dal of Cachar district had gone viral. In the video, he said that if any Hindu visit the church during Christmas, he will be brutally beaten up.

On this Jitendra Singh, Every Indian unquestionably has the freedom to decide what food they want to consume, what attire to wear, or which religious place of worship to visit and nobody can take that right away. He had also affirmed that Bajrang Dal should be claimed as ‘Deshdrohi Dal’ as they have always spoken against the prosperity of Indian society.

“When it comes to the alliance, I want to clear this out that some scepticism has been created by BJP regarding this issue. I have visited Guwahati via Dibrugarh. Today I am going to Barrack Valley and the Hill districts. There I will talk to the party members. Bharatiya Congress Committee will take every decision regarding the alliance. The decision will be taken after interacting with the general people of Assam and members of the Congress Party. BJP is trying to polarize the issue. We are Indians and today India is united,” said Singh

“The attempt that is being made to destroy this brotherhood among the Indians whether it be in Assam, Bihar, or Telangana is quite perceivable. Bharatiya Congress Committee will take a firm decision on this issue of alliance although no attempt is being made to make the decision right at this point in time,” Jitendra Singh added.

AIUDF to challenge FIR against Ajmal foundation

1

Assam, Dec 7: Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has asserted that the case against Ajmal Foundation needs to be investigated as a lot of things are ‘coming forward‘ in the matter.

Sarma’s remarks come on the same day as AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal revealed that the foundation will approach the court and challenge the FIR filed. The matter pertains to suspicious funding of nearly Rs 54.60 crores allegedly from radical Islamist groups, in which the Guwahati Police filed an FIR on Saturday.

“A lot of things are coming forward in the matter. So it will definitely need to be investigated,” said Assam Finance Minister.

Lashing out at the Assam Chief Minister earlier today, AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal stated that the Assam CM should have ‘behaved like a politician and not like an enemy’.

“There should be a limit to political hostility. We invite the Home Ministry to check our accounts,” he added.

The case has been registered over suspicious funding after the complaint was lodged by a person called Satya Ranjan Bohra citing allegations from Legal Rights Observatory (LRO), a legal activism group which alleged receipt of funds by one of the NGOs of Ajmal Foundation from “radical terrorist Islamist groups” from abroad. Vinay Joshi of the LRO has claimed that Akmal’s foundation received funds from foreign organisations which are “closely associated with Al-Qaeda terror network, Hizbul Mujahideen Kashmiri terror network and Egyptian and Kuwaiti Islamic Brotherhood networks.”

“While analysing their annual and quarterly donations, we came across all these terror groups funding and financing Badruddin Ajmal,” Vinay Joshi alleged.

In a series of tweets, Legal Rights Observatory has alleged that Markazul Maarif, a CSR wing of Ajmal Foundation of the AIUDF leader got nearly 70 crore rupees. The tweet by the complainant stated that the funds received was used in political activities of AIUDF and it was received from Turkish and UK based terror groups.

The LRO alleged that one of the donors have links with extremists including the 9/11 US attack “mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed n Tariq al-Suwaidan“, who is listed by the US authorities as “an unindicted co-conspirator“.

Legal Rights Observatory also shared elaborate details about the donors who funded the NGO and concluded by alleging that Ajmal has “grossly misused” the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. In an earlier tweet on December 3, the LRO had claimed that of the 69.55 crore rupees received by Ajmal’s NGO, only Rs 2.05 crore was used for education while rest of the funds was routed to “counter Hindu political forces“. Reportedly, Assam Cabinet minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged the Centre to intervene and probe the matter.

They also tried to block the vehicle of newly appointed BJP state in-charge of Tripura Pradesh BJP Vinod Sonkar demanding the Chief Minister’s removal.

A quarrel soon ensued between the two groups of MLAs, with each group trading accusations at the other.

The police finally arrived and brought the situation under control.

A section of BJP MLAs and senior leaders are not satisfied with the present state leadership, especially Biplab Kumar Deb.

They had gone to New Delhi in October to meet party national president JP Nadda and other top leaders to express their dissatisfaction with the state government’s state present state of affairs.

A few of these MLAs and party leaders also met North-East Democratic Alliance chairman, Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati to discuss the issue.

The dissident MLAs are not happy with the decisions of the chief minister and a few of them have openly criticized him and the state the government on social media.

After that, Sonkar cleared all the speculations and rumours making rounds regarding the obvious dissidence of a certain section of MLAs and leaders saying that “all is well” in the party and attributed the differences in the “gap of communication” emerged due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

He said, “BJP is a party of its workers and voices each person will be heard given the same attention”.

On being asked specifically on the Delhi visit of a group of MLAs, he said, “see for a long time there has been no Prabhari in the state and due to this a void in the communication system may have appeared. Since this is my first visit to the state, I have met all the MLAs, Ministers and MPs this morning and now everything will be sorted out”.

Speaking about his visit, Sonkar said, “after being given the responsibility of Tripura, I have come here for the first time and the slew of meetings that have been organized since I have come here is introductory in nature. My primary job is to have a sense of the organizations and other various departments of the state BJP”.

Asked about the expansion of ministry, he said, the matter has come up for discussion and further discussion on the matter will be done as time comes.

Speaking on the alliance with IPFT in the ensuing ADC polls, he said, “the track record of BJP is clear and we know how to form an alliance and follow the principles of alliance. Bihar is a glaring example of this. With time, we shall reach out to the IPFT party for the alliance in ADC elections and if their demands are found legitimate it will be approved. But, we shall not entertain any illegitimate demand”.

Party worker welcome Cong’s Jitendra Singh with the slogan – “Sushmita Dev Murdabad”

Assam, 6th December: General secretary of AICC and in charge of Assam, Jitendra Singh reached Silchar for his election campaign. He was given a warm welcome in Silchar Airport by his supporter. But his convoy attacked at Madhurghat by the Congress supporters led by NSUI President Cachar Javed Laskar.

Javed Ali and Congress supporters raised slogans like “Sushmita Dev Murdabad, Ajit Singh Murdabad” against Silchar MP Sushmita Dev and former minister Ajit Singh. The incident took place while Jitendra Singh was going to Silchar for his election campaign.

All India National Congress once again embarrassed themselves at their event. While the incident was taking place Jitendra Singh tried not to lose his cool and explained to them that this was not good for the party. However, Javed Ali and his people continued to do the same. Seeing this Sushmita Dev’s supporters started counter-slogans which resulted in a tussal between the two teams.

Javed Laskar mentioned to the press saying, “Moinul Haque Choudhury has given so much to Congress, and yet his image was missing from all the posters welcoming Jitendra Singh. That is why to protest we raised Sushmita Dev Murdabad slogans but Papon Dev of Congress started beating me and threatening me”

In this tussal between the two sides, no one was hurt. With the elections in the coming year, Congress plans on coming back. However, with a lack of coordination among its supporters, it seems difficult.

CID names BJP’s Mukul Roy in the charge sheet in TMC MLA’s murder case

Bengal, 6th December: West Bengal CID has named BJP’s national vice-president Mukul Roy in its charge sheet filed in the murder case of Trinamool Congress MLA Satyajit Biswas in Nadia district. The agency filed a supplementary charge sheet at the ACJM court in Ranaghat on Saturday.

Krishnaganj MLA Satyajit Biswas was killed in his home area on the day of Saraswati Puja in 2019 dated on 10th February 2019. The CID started an investigation of the murder case. Earlier, the charge sheet had the name of MP Jagannath Sarkar, as per the source. Sarkar has already been questioned by the CID several times in connection with the murder.

APP of Ranaghat Court, Pradip Sarkar said, “Haskhali PH Case No. 56 dated -10/02/19, and the case was complained by Milan Saha and the incident that you all people are already been aware of, the last English Calendar’s- 9/02/2019, Krishnaganj Vidhansabha Constituency, MLA- Satyajit Biswas was murdered and in the context of this murder case, the incident has been caused. And for that incident, the main charge sheet had been submitted, and later on, there was the submission of supplementary charge sheets and today even a supplementary charge sheet has been submitted and in that charge sheet, a person named Mukul Roy got charge-sheeted, CID department has submitted that charge sheet on his name in learned SCM Court of Ranaghat. And the learned Court has taken cognizance based on the charge sheet. Till now the condition remains this.”

“Earlier Mukul Roy was kept under observation and investigations were being continued till today and it was said if any such materials would be found then only the steps would be taken against him and finally we got so he has been charge-sheeted now under Article-302, 120(b) under Indian laws of punishment. We are not asking to disclose any such official matters, but when materials are being found then only the steps have been taken,” added Pradip Sarkar.

Mukul Roy, who was questioned by the CID in March, has been granted anticipatory bail by the Calcutta High Court (HC).

Moving forward to this topic MP from Ranaghat Jagannath Sarkar said, “This is completely apolitical planning, till then we were known to the fact that he would be charge-sheeted earlier only but he wasn’t given the charge sheet because the TMC had thought that with this Mukul Roy can come back to join so accordingly few months were kept within. Whereas in my case without being having my name in the charge sheet or any such case forcefully have involved mine one in the supplementary charge sheet and that time set Mukul Roy free from these all so that he become back again to join them but Mukul Roy is true to belong to BJP, he has proven this in our Commander (Senapati) war and he will never going to join TMC anyway under any trap or greed. Moreover, this incident is completely a political conspiracy and trap which will be proven in the future.”

“Article 120 (b) deals with conspiracy. Mukul Roy’s name was never erased off it was there rather police and CID department have said we kept him under observation based on the doubt till something concrete proof materials can be found and ultimately today the charge sheet got submitted in his name,” later informed Pradip Sarkar.

Add to it Jagannath Sarkar said, “Here murder cases are taken back, the murderer Bimal Gurung is being allowed to enter Darjeeling and the police are not even arresting him because of just that they want to throw out BJP from the place. So all these are the presentations of extremely dirty political planning of the Mamata government.”

Apart from them, it’s very significant to look for what exactly the advocate of BJP’s Mukul Roy conveyed.

“Today CID has submitted their second supplementary charge sheet against Mukul Roy in the murder case of Satyajit Biswas MLA, 88, Krishnaganj assembly constituency, unfortunately, and astonishingly the additional district and session judge Ranaghat at the time of allowing the divisional application preferred by the de-facto complainant of this case categorically restricted the scope of further investigation in this case despite the fact CID has continued this further investigation so-called further investigation in clear violation of the order of the learned court the investigation itself is illegal and the charge sheet is also illegal it has been alleged that Mukul Roy was involved in the conspiracy of this case but appears, rather appears to us that it is a conspiracy against Mukul Roy illegal further investigation and illegal charge sheet, we will move before the High Court setting proper remedy,” said Advocate Suman Roy.
