Tame Phassang of BJP lashes out at China

0

Arunachal, Dec 10: BJP’s national council member Tame Phassang lashed out at China over the recent construction of three villages along the International border and also express concern about Arunachal.

BJP’s national council member Tame Phassang, who is also the advisor to Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, said, “I would like to clear one thing that the actions of neighbouring country China against India are shameful. LOC and LAC are very much cleared with China and Pakistan but if we talk about Arunachal, we neither have LAC nor LOC. According to the 1914 Simla act, we follow the Mcmahon line. This was a treaty signed between Tibet and India that time we don’t have any consequences with China. This has been signed by Henry Mcmahon. Till now we are believing in that. If we discuss this with China then it will be more beneficial for everyone.”

Phassang said that the Chinese intrusion which was done in Srinagar should not be repeated in Arunachal.

“The incident which happened recently in Srinagar, we should think of that as an incident which shouldn’t happen in Arunachal. We heard that China is trying to settle themselves in a colony by the border. A few months back they kidnapped some people from Arunachal, and later returned them safely,” BJP’s national council member added.

Arunachal is an integral part of India said Phassang.

“I want to say this to our party seniors that the people of Arunachal are an integral part of India. We condemn any anti activity that is being tried to create some sort of misunderstanding in our country by our neighbouring countries. All the top ministers will discuss the matter,” Phassang added.

BJP seeks President’s rule in Bengal

Bengal, Dec 10: Bengal BJP seeks Presidential rule in the state after a worker allegedly shot by the police during the BJP’s Uttar Kanya Abhiyan.

“The Democracy, common people, and constitution are in danger here. I want to request the central government for a CID investigation in this matter and take strict action on the police who did this. I also request to implement Presidential rule in Bengal as TMC is not able to control the situation,” BJP MP Raju Bista said.

Talking about the incident that happened in Siliguri MP said “Today our lot of workers are injured and admitted to hospital. One of our 50-year-old workers, Ulen Roy has lost his life after been shot by the police. Today in West Bengal, Mamata didi is expecting that no other party else than TMC stand for the election and no one will be able to protest against them. In 2017, the government had killed the Gorkha people on-road and the blame has been put on the leaders of Gorkha. Yesterday the same incident happened and an FIR registered on our leaders and MPs. It is not only bad politics it is a dictatorship and shameful incident.”

Taking a dig at state administration, MP said that police are working to save the TMC.

“The kind of politics TMC is doing now, you have to accept that TMC is going to be defeated. On 7th December in Siliguri, a peaceful rally was held by the North Bengal BJP Yuva morcha. Kailash Vijayvargiya, Dilip Ghosh, president of BJYM Tejasvi Surya along with other leaders and workers of North Bengal attended the march. We can understand by this rally that the people of Bengal are in the notion to change the situation. But the way police treated on the orders of Mamata didi was a shameful incident. I think police is not working as the administration but trying their best to save TMC government,” MP Raju Bista added.

Good news for Northeast Indian states!

Northeast, Dec 10: Good news rolls in for Northeast Indian states as the Union Cabinet has given its approval for the provision of a Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) Scheme for providing mobile coverage in Arunachal Pradesh and two districts of Assam, namely Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao, under the Comprehensive Telecom Development Plan (CTDP) for North Eastern Region (NER). The cabinet was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Communication, USOF, the project envisages providing mobile coverage to 2,374 uncovered villages, 1683 in Arunachal Pradesh and 691 in two districts of Assam, at an estimated cost of implementation about Rs.2,029 crore including operational expenses for five years.

Apart from the higher capital cost of providing telecom services in rural and remote areas, these areas also generate lower revenue due to lower population density.

Thus normal market forces alone would not direct the telecom sector to adequately serve backward and rural areas. Thus, keeping in mind the inadequacy of the market mechanism to serve rural and inaccessible areas on one hand and the importance of providing vital telecom connectivity on the other, most countries of the world have put in place policies to provide Universal Access and Universal Service to ICT.

The New Telecom Policy – 1999 (NTP ’99) provided that the resources for meeting the Universal Service Obligation (USO) would be raised through a ‘Universal Access Levy (UAL)’, which would be a percentage of the revenue earned by the operators under various licenses.

The project would be funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund and has been targeted to be completed by December 2022. The work-related to the provision of 4G mobile services in identified uncovered villages will be awarded through an open competitive bidding process as per extant USOF procedures.

The provisioning of mobile services in the remote and difficult uncovered areas of Northeast Indian states like Arunachal and two districts of Assam will enhance digital connectivity useful for self-reliance, facilitate learning, dissemination of information and knowledge, skill up-gradation and development, disaster management, e-governance initiatives, the establishment of enterprises and e-commerce facilities, provision of adequate support to educational institutes for knowledge sharing and availability of job opportunities and fulfilling the vision of Digital India promoting domestic manufacturing and fulfilling the objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Assam, Dec 9: BJP central leader Sunil Deodhar questions the tweeting of the map without Jammu and Kashmir posted by the Twitter account of Assam Congress.

The BJP central leader Sunil Deodhar has accused that the Congress, after keeping Jammu and Kashmir out of the development path for decades by supporting Article 370, has now excluded the union territory from the Indian map.

Assam Congress had posted a tweet on Tuesday, where the party used the Indian map and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo in support of farmers’ protest. BJP alleged that Congress has excluded Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian map. However, Assam Congress has deleted the tweet and netizens skewered the Congress on social media.

“Working against the nation’s interests, unity & sovereignty runs through @INCIndia’s & its leaders’ veins. After keeping J&K out of the development path for decades by supporting Article 370, it’s now excluded the UT from the Indian map. Why such contempt?,” BJP central leader Sunil Deodhar wrote on tweet while sharing the image.

JP Nadda discussed problems faced by local people in Bengal

Bengal, Dec 9: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has kick-started its campaign in West Bengal with party President JP Nadda. This is done to boost the grass-root cadre.

Nadda holds a meeting with the residents of the slum area. The program was held at Indian Council for Cultural Relations (IICR) centre in Kolkata.

At least 250 people from slums area have attended this program with the BJP nation president.

“I belong to Kolkata. I am the convener of the West Bengal Basti Unnayan Cell. My name is Abodh Kishor Gupta. I informed Nadda Ji about the tribulations that the residents of the slums of this area are facing. These residents also brought into light their issues and troubles to Nadda Ji. Two hundred and fifty people came and Nadda Ji confronted ten people amongst them, asked those questions, and answered their questions and doubts,” said Abodh Kishor Gupta, Convener, West Bengal Basti Unnayan Cell.

Kishor added that the people of Bengal believe that all the problems will solve once BJP will be in power.

“As a common solution to all the problems these people came up with, Nadda Ji said that if BJP is brought under power in 2021, then all these problems will find a resolution. I had documented these tribulations and sent it to Nadda Ji. I wrote about the problems these residents are facing regarding drinking water, toiletries, etc. It’s been around three hundred and fifty years, why does ‘tali bari’ still exist in Kolkata metropolitan city? Why these houses are still not being converted into multi-storied buildings to provide that to the poor people?” Kishore added.

Nadda has promised the people that all the problems will be resolved once BJP will be in power.

“These are the issues that are to be looked upon. I am very happy that I conveyed these problems to Nadda Ji. All the leaders of our party work only for the public. They don’t work for themselves. They don’t work for their family. This is the unique selling proposition of our party. Nadda Ji and me, we are always incessantly conversing on these issues. Also, we always want to hear from the residents of the slums about their problems. That is what happened today. In 2021, BJP is coming into power and then these issues will be resolved,” Abodh further added.

After having a fruitful interaction with the local people, Nadda also holds a meeting with the Bengal BJP leaders along with Kailash Vijyavargiya.

Earlier today, Nadda arrived in Kolkata to a rousing welcome. Scores of party workers gathered at the airport here to receive Nadda who is on a two-day visit to the poll-bound state.
