The BJP spokesperson in the state, Subrata Chakraborty, announced on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would address election rallies in Tripura starting from April 17, which marks the last day of campaigning for the first phase of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections.

He mentioned that PM Modi would commence the campaign with a rally in the state capital, Agartala, on the first day of his visit.

Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to address another election rally in Kumarghat, located in the northern region of the state, on April 15.

Chakraborty noted that several top leaders, including Chief Minister Manik Saha, are actively participating in the poll campaign across Tripura.

He highlighted the increasing support for the BJP, with hundreds of people, including supporters from other parties, joining the saffron brigade regularly across the state.

The interception occurred at the Naka point in Keotkuna, where a Bolero vehicle with registration number AS08A0614 was stopped and searched, leading to the discovery of the cash.

Following the seizure, authorities detained an individual in connection with the incident to investigate further.

In Bongaigaon district, where strict adherence to election conduct rules is paramount, the Flying Squad has been conducting thorough inspections along various routes to maintain vigilance.

As part of these efforts, another vehicle, registered as AS 26AC 0747, was intercepted today.

The photo circulated widely on social media platforms, drawing criticism from Trinamool Congress (TMC), who accused the BJP of harboring anti-women sentiments.
